“You are the French to our Toast Shuga!”… How is your Monday going so far? Check out this “French Toast” recipe that we made this morning to have a marvelous start of the week! Remember you can always change the ingredients of this recipe for other options as you need. For instance, you can substitute whole milk for almond/coconut/soy milk. Also, you can use low fat cream cheese instead of the regular version; or if you don´t like guava, you can choose a different fruit. And finally, like we did, you can bake them instead or frying them. Have fun and enjoy Shuga!
SHUGA! French toast with guava and cream cheese
Ingredients
- ? 1 packet of roll bread
- ? 1 egg
- ? ¼ teaspoon cinnamon
- ? ½ cup whole milk
- ? 1 guava sweet
- ? 1 pound cream cheese
Instructions
- In a bowl beat the milk and cinnamon and in another bowl beat the egg
- Cut the guava sweet and cheese
- To each bread add the guava and cheese, immerse in the milk with cinnamon and then into the egg and bring to fire.
- Brown on each side and serve with SHUGA!
For the baked option:
- Preheat oven to 375ºF and grease a baking dish
- Follow steps 1 to 3
- Bake for 25 minutes or until golden brown on top
