February is here! another day that represents another awesome opportunity to do great things! This month has some pretty cool festivities, staring with one of the most important sports events of the entire year in the United States: Super Bowl!

The cool thing about Super Bowl is that it doesn’t matter if you’re a big fan or just there to enjoy the day with your family and friends, it’s always fun and of course a great opportunity to cook amazing and delicious food, (our favorite part of course!). For this reason, we wanted to share with all of you this super delicious dip recipe perfect to eat with any kind of chips and super easy to make.

red onion marmalade with thyme French cuisine

1 large onion

3/4 cup red wine (We recommend Shiraz because the base has spice and fruit notes)

1/4 cup Hey SHUGA

4 ounces bacon (half pack)

1 red pepper

1-Chop the onions, red pepper and bacon (small squares or thin slices).

2-Place them on a large skillet over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally.

3-When the onions start to look translucent and soft, remove from heat, add wine, Hey SHUGA (premixed) and put the pan back on the fire. (If you do not remove the pan off the heat, the alcohol can make contact with flames and can be dangerous).

4-Keep it over medium heat and stir occasionally with a silicone spatula.

5-Remove when the paste is reduced (around 30%) and has a thicker consistency.

Serve with chips. Also delicious on meat!

Be sweet and give us a share!
